Company History

The Flyer was launched in 1977 when Dick Mandt and Judy Mandt had the idea to start a direct mail local shopper in the Westchester area of Miami with a circulation of about 20,000. 40 years later, we’re still going strong and still committed to the same principles.

The Flyer joined Clipper Magazine’s family of publications in 2018. Our publications now reaches over 1.6 million households, serving 6 counties in four major metropolitan markets across Florida.

The Flyer takes our advertisers’ marketing messages further with:

  • LocalFlavor.com: A website that features Deals and coupons, allowing our advertisers to extend their reach and expand their exposure.
