Nice Vintage Rickenbacker TR7 Amp Sounds & Looks Good Made in Santa Ana, CA

ad id #202277626
$150
Vintage 1978-ish Rickenbacker TR7 amplifier in good working condition and very good cosmetic condition except for 1 end of the handle has ripped through its slot (see pic). When at rest and the strap is put back in, it has a good appearance. Remember to NEVER lift it by the strap. There is a lip on the back that serves a great hand hold to carry it. Haven't replaced it as it was used in a stationary home studio environment and wanted to keep it original. There is usual usage marks as photos show but nothing serious. Other than that everything else works perfectly as it should. This amp has a chimey Vox AC type sound, but it's Ric unique with a nice bottom end.

Some more TR7 info:
The TR7 was made from 1977 to 1984. It contained a single 10" speaker. It was a solid state amplifier, with a 7 Watts RMS rating, but it was designed with special "bounce-back" power supply, like a strobe, which made it sound more like a 25 watt amp. Features included tremolo and distortion circuits. Part of the TR Series, the TR7 was replaced by the R7 when the line was restyled. This is a great little home or backstage tune-up amplifier. For only 7 watts with the bounce back feature, it definitely is a great addition to a collection. I'm downsizing or else I'd keep it.

And these electronic features:
7 Watt RMS approximate power at 8 OHMS
60-10,000 Hz bandwidth
80-9,000 power range, tailored for guitar characteristics
5% Total harmonic distortion
"Bounce back" power stage for the illusion of loudness.
